About Us

MISSION STATEMENT

"To improve the quality of life for Hispanics in Northeastern Indiana by providing advocacy, social and cultural services and promoting an understanding of Hispanic cultures, challenges and opportunities."

MISSION OBJECTIVES

In order to be effective in achieving the mission of the organization, three mission objectives were created to make sure all efforts by the Executive Director and the staff remain focused into improving the quality of life of Hispanics in Northeastern Indiana. United Hispanic Americans understands that if we focus on Engagement, Leadership, and Empowerment in the programs, the greater the chance that our clients will contribute to the overall strength of the Hispanic and non-Hispanic community. We are a family-oriented center with a family-focused strategy implementing the three mission objectives:

1) Engage Hispanics in the community, with the schools, and with their family because we believe that Hispanics are concerned with the Fort Wayne community and want to take a proactive role in the community.

2) Cultivate proactive leaders among Hispanic youth, adults, and parents that participate in our programs because we believe that Hispanics have the desire and the skills to lead.

3) Develop quality programs that empower families, achieve our goals, and fulfill the needs of the community served because we believe that with our experience in working with the Hispanic community, we have the right strategies in place to contribute to effectively aid the needs of the Hispanic community.
