DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
Welcome to United Hispanic Americans, Inc.
Ethnic and cultural diversity is one of the defining factors of a remarkable city.
It is amazing to think about the number of ethnic groups in our city. In the Fort Wayne Community Schools, more than 60 languages are spoken by the students who attend. As more people are moving to
United Hispanic Americans, Inc. has been a key force in improving the quality of life in the areas of education, community engagement, and self reliance for Latinos over the last 36 years.
We want to see students raising their hands in school and engaging with their teachers, proclaiming, "I know it!"
We want to see more Latinos in job skill training programs, youth development programs, and other empowerment programs, asserting, "I can do it!"
We want to see more Latinos in business, medicine, computer, and other careers, exclaiming, "I'm doing it!"
United Hispanic Americans, Inc. is taking the responsibility to engage people, cultivate leaders, and empower the community.
Sincerely,
Rosa A. Gerra
Executive Director
